Guillot" versehen. Vorne kleine französische Widmungsplakette. Außerordentlich schöne Darstellung eines männlichen Akts an einem Felsen mit einem Adler ringend. Die enorme Größe von 60 cm erlaubt eine sehr reizvolle und detaillierte Darstellung der menschlichen Anatomie. Die Skulptur befindet sich in sehr schönem Zustand. Höhe 60cm.

ANATOLE GUILLOT (Étigny 1865 - Paris 1911) war ein französischer Bildhauer, Maler und Keramiker. Ausbildung an der École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Schüler des bedeutenden Bildhauers Alexander Falguière. Mitglied der französischen Society of Artists ab 1882 bis zu seinem Tod. Stellte im Pariser Salon aus und wurde auf der Weltausstellung in Paris mit einer Medaille geehrt. Ab 1903 war er als Medailleur und Entwerfer für die Porzellanmanufaktur Sevres tätig.

Large and beautiful sculpture of the famous, French sculptor Anatole Guillot from between 1870 to 1880. Regule, patinated. On the base the signature of the sculptor "A. Guillot". Front with small French dedication plaque. Beautiful illustration of a male nude at a rock struggling with an eagle. The enormous size of 60cm allows a very delightful and detailed depiction of the human anatomy. The sculpture is preserved in very nice condition. Height 60cm

ANATOLE GUILLOT (Étigny 1865 - Paris 1911) was a French sculptor, painter and ceramist. Education at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Pupil of the famous sculptor Alexander Falguière. Member of the French Society of Artists from 1882 until his death. Represented at the Paris Salon where he was honoured a several times. He was also represented at the World Exhibition in Paris, where he won a medal. Since 1903, he worked as designer for the Sevres porcelain factory.
