Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome .

You are looking at a somewhat rare  RCA model Type MI-6207-G Aero Pressure microphone first produced in the late 1940's I believe and manufactured up until the mid to late 1950's. It has that classic Buck Rogers look that was very futuristic for it's time. it comes with it's original (hard to find) detachable baffle as well.

You'll notice right away that this MI-6207-G has beautiful original paint. Theses mics either came in gloss black or umber grey paint. This one has more of a cinnamon brown look to it. This is one of the nicest examples I have ever seen and the paint is still glossy. The mic is not perfect however as it seems the mic was dropped. the baffle shows just the slightest warpage and there a couple spots where the paint chipped off on the baffle itself. The mic however is perfect.

The RCA logo is still present on this mic and the chrome joint mechanism works perfectly. You'll be able to screw this mic onto any American desk or floor stand without issue though a period Atlas DS-5 stand is provided. The mic has a short 4 inch cable. The cable is certainly original, soft and is very pliable. The original XLR male connector shows just the smallest of wear. The silk screen was missing so I installed a high quality foam screen replacement to keep debris out. The replacement looks very nice.

This MI-6207 has a bit of weight to her coming in at just over 2 pounds. Built like a tank! This would make an excellent display piece to put on the shelf, coffee table or just about anywhere.

Please let the detailed pics be your guide.

An easy 8 + on a scale of 1 - 10 in the cosmetic department. MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS PART OF THIS SALE...

 It's an

Atlas desk stand from the 1950's era and perfect for just about any older vintage microphone. This was the base model non-retractable 763 desk stand made in Brooklyn, NY. There is almost no discoloration on the original paint. No scratches or scuff marks. There is no rust stains on the bottom which is always a bonus as many of these older stands are rusted out pretty good. Total length is 5 inches high x 6 inches wide.

The chrome stem shows zero wear. Please let the detailed pics be your guide. All 3 rubber pads are in excellent condition. The stand will accept just about any microphone with the exception of a few Astatic mics due to their unusual 3 pin attachment. All E.V, Shure and Turner mics will screw on however. This stand has the universal 5/8 X 27 thread.

As with all my vintage microphones...
