Weighing only 32 pounds, the 550-watt Behringer B212D 2-way active loudspeaker delivers excellent sound as a front-of-house speaker, or as a powerful personal monitor.

The Behringer B212Ds employ a Class D amplifier design for cooler-running, more efficient power usage than an AB system. Their active electronics deliver a sound that remains clear and undistorted even at maximum volume -- extremely useful when you're running these at the top of their output! They're also quite light for their wattage at 32 pounds a piece, and are highly rugged and durable.

Each Behringer B212D comes with a single balanced TRS 1/4-inch input that accepts the output from a mixer, or other line-level signal. Below that, a single XLR female input will accept inputs from a microphone, a mixer, or any other balanced source. A balanced male XLR Link Output jack sends a copy of the main signal to another powered loudspeaker. A master Level knob gives you more relative force when you need it, and lets you pull back when you don't.

The B212D's 12-inch long-excursion woofer cone and 1.75-inch aluminum-diaphragm compression driver are proprietary Behringer designs. This speaker's lows are pronounced and strong, while its reproduction of high frequencies is notably clear. The integrated 2-band EQ helps you fine-tune the way the B212Ds sound in different spaces.

The B212D has an integrated built-in active high-pass filter that helps keep control over the overall sound. It cuts down the piercing highs that can create distortion or damage speakers when you're pushing out extreme volumes.
