This is an exquisite antique French embroidered silk shawl dating from the early 1900's. It is very tactile and hangs divinely.
The silk is very fine and is in a sublime shade of antique cream beautifully hand embroidered with a matching cream silk thread. In each of two opposing corners is a large satin stitch worked area with a Chinoiserie Chrysanthemum and trailing leaf design.
Around the edge of the shawl is a fantastic long, tasselled, frothy silk fringe.
The shawl would be gorgeous to wear but would also look fabulous draped across the back of a sofa or chaise.
It is in excellent condition with a few tiny marks which you would have to search to find.
The shawl measures 140 cm (55 inches) x 130 cm (51.5 inches) without the fringe. The fringe is 50 cm long giving a total size of 240 cm (110 inches) x 230 cm (103 inches).

Returns
Returns are accepted within 14 days.
The buyer pays for tracked shipping.
As all of the items we sell are unique, antique and vintage any item you return
must be well packed and received in exactly the same condition as sent.
International buyers from outside the EU, please note:-
Any customs duty that we incur in order to retrieve a returned international parcel
will be deducted from the refund amount.
Once we have received the returned item
and have verified its condition, we will issue the refund .
