Manufacturer’s info: The Wheatly company was established in 1878 at Eclipse Works, New George Street, by William Thomas Wheatley (1846-1912) and his brother, Samuel Villies Wheatley (c.1840-1887).  In 1936 the company was sold to Needham, Veall & Tyzack. 

Razors condition:  I have cleaned the razor and there some original grinding marks on the blade as well as signs of shallow pitting (nothing major). This razor has a 1/4 hollow ground blade of 5/8th (15.4mm). Engraved on the tang are the words “Wheatly Brothers Sheffield” on the blade itself” Hollow Ground Wheat Sheaf”.  There are no chips or cracks in the blade. The scales are made from celluloid  remain in good condition.

The razors have been sterilized.

The razors are Shave Ready! Will pass any test and of course give a great shave.
