Tex Granger is a Columbia movie serial featuring the title character  as a masked cowboy referred to as The Midnight Rider of the Plains in the serial's subtitle. PLOT:
Tex Granger, on his way to Three Butes, comes across a young boy guarding a gold shipment which he has just rescued from a stagecoach. Tex and young Timmy turn the gold over to the crooked Rance Carson who uses his loan office to carry out crooked land deals. When Blaze shows up in town Carson has him appointed town marshal, intending to use him as his enforcer, but Blaze has higher aspirations, and soon the town is ablaze with gunfire and plots as Blaze, Carson, and Reno and his gang battle each other and the citizens.
