Very rare and unusual handmade vintage African folk art carved thorn wood figures

Made in Nigeria, 

 This type of thorn wood carving was invented by Justus Akeredolu in the 1930's

Condition is very good with a few  exception s (see pics).  

1 queen lost arm 2 bishops lost top of crosses
