A super looking antique bronze metal photograph frame with an easel backed support. The piece is splendidly ornate to the point of gush and we wonder whether it is designed to house a wedding photograph as the couple to the upper (presumably surrounded by several guests) stand above a harp playing putti or cherub. Love is obviously in the air.

It is in fair condition for its age. It bears a pattern registration number for the 1910/19 period. The upper scroll to the ‘foot’ has part of its curve missing but does not affect the performance of same and that card to the reverse has got to be a practical but aesthetically unsuitable replacement, easily remedied!

It displays beautifully, an unusual piece. We have come across several different designs of the same genre stemming from Victorian times to the early decades of the last century but have not seen this particular theme before.
