The NEA-4019 is an 8U clone of the ARP 4019 VCA found in the ARP 2600.   Our VCA has been adapted for +/-12V used in Eurorack systems.  The VCA features a linear and exponential CV input, which responds to incoming CVs in two ways.  Both audio signal inputs respond to the linear and exponential CVs.
The CV inputs are tolerant to +/- 10V CVs.  VCA will fully open at 5V CVs, and will fully close when fed a 0V CV.  This VCA can easily be adjusted using the trimmers on the PCB to fully open at CVs up to 10V, making it a versatile VCA.  Most VCAs on the Eurorack market are based on the OTA such as LM13700 or CA3080.  This design is completely transistor based, like the Minimoog.
All NEA Eurorack devices have on-board rear panel connections to allow normalized connections to other modules (like the ARP 2600).  This module is the first in a series of ARP 2600 style modules that will make up a fully normalized patchable synthesizer that can be customized to users liking.
