Lovely old platter measures 40 x 30 cm and is 2.5cm deep from base to rim.  It weighs 1.1kg

Davenport Pearlware Platter "Chinese Flag Bearers" pattern which is circa 1810

The glaze has a blue tinge to it and is most obvious on the back of the piece.  It is quite an uneven glaze (not smooth), reminds me a little of chicken skin.  Also, when I run my hand over the decoration it is not smooth.

There are a couple of chips as shown in the photos and there is an area along one edge where the glaze has either not fully adhered or has perhaps rubbed away.

There are no cracks.

There is an impressed cypher which I would describe as a sun type symbol but no makers marks - as I understand it, this is not uncommon in early pieces.

Overall, this is in good condition.
