Buy a Piece of Scotland on the Glenmore Estate

***CHRISTMAS DELIVERY OF ORDERS***

***THE LAST RECOMMENDED DATE FOR UK CHRISTMAS DELIVERY IS WEDNESDAY 22ND DECEMBER***

***WE WILL BE SENDING OUT ORDERS UP UNTIL CHRISTMAS EVE***

We are offering a unique opportunity to buy one square foot (12 inches by 12 inches) of land on the beautiful Scottish island of Sanday.

In Scotland, anyone can, subject to the requirements of good faith, adopt a title such as Laird, Lord or Lady if they wish. We can include this adopted title in your land deeds, which would be used as:

Laird, Lord or Lady of Glenmore

Because the land is being sold in small parcels, it can never be built on or developed, so you will be helping to preserve the land in its natural state for future generations.

We normally sell the Heritage Land Package for £29.99

Special ebay price only £21.98 including free UK delivery

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I be sure you own this land and have the right to sell it?

We are the legal owners of the land we are selling, and our ownership is fully registered in the Scottish Land Registry. We also have a letter from our lawyer confirming our right to sell the land plots and can provide a copy to any customers who would like reassurance that our offer is genuine.

Will I own the land?

Under the Land Registration (Scotland) Act 1979, small souvenir plots of land cannot be entered into the land registry. However, we provide purchasers with a personal right of ownership of the land.

How can I locate my Land Plot?

Each plot comes with an Ordanance Survey map which indicates the location of your plot within the Glenmore Estate. The map includes Ordanance Survey grid references, so you can find the location of the plots.

Can I build on it?

No. Whilst the land is yours, it is to be left in its natural state in order to preserve the local countryside and wildlife.

Am I now a member of the aristocracy?

No. It is virtually impossible to buy a British aristocratic title; the land deed can be personalised with your adopted title of “Laird, Lord or Lady of Glenmore”.

Do I have to pay any land registry fees?

There are no land registry fees associated with your purchase, as under the terms of the Land Registration (Scotland) act 1979, land which is regarded as a "souvenir plot" cannot be entered into the land rigister.

Will I have to pay any additional costs or taxes?

No, there will be no taxes or any additional costs to pay. The only cost is the initial purchase price.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ALL ORDERS**

We need to know the name(s) you wish to have on the deed documents before orders can be sent out, and if the adopted title is to be a Laird, Lord or Lady.

If you pay for your order by Paypal, you should see a "note to seller" box as part of the payment process, where you can give these details. Alternatively, you can send us the information in an ebay message.

Please note that names should be no longer than 35 characters (including spaces and the title). Names longer than this will not fit on to the space available on the deed.

If you would like two land plots, you can order a joint pack. You will receive two plots of adjacent land which comes with two individual land deeds, maps etc. and each plot can be put in different names if you wish.
