NOTE!!!

Please consider purchasing much better antenna which has LOW SWR (2:1 or better) on 8 bands

Models are EFHW-8010-1K, EFHW-8010-P , EFHW-4010-1K etc. They are available in our eBay store

ALL BAND HF ANTENNA

This is an End Fed multiband wire antenna that will cover all bands from 80 to 6 meters, including the WARC Bands, as well as 60m meters and MARS frequencies. It utilizes a 9:1 UNUN transformer in order to bring the impedance of an antenna to more manageable values for your antenna tuner.

It is a great antenna for HAM radio operators living in HOA controlled housing, HAMs desiring a very stealthy RV antenna, Field Day operations, sail boats, portable operating, backyard installations, ARES, RACES, etc.

NOTE *** A wide range tuner may be needed to tune this antenna on 80-6 meters.

 Antenna Features:
  • 9:1 UNUN wound on two (2) 2.4 inch Ferrite cores in the stack with PTFE #14 AWG stranded Silver plated wire in order to reduce loss due to skin effect on higher frequencies. DUAL CORE improves power handling!
  • 44 feet of Stranded Marine tinned #18 AWG wire with end insulator
  • SO-239 UHF connector
  • Stainless steel hardware
  • Rated at 1500 Watts

 Additional information:

Terminated into 450 Ohms load, VSWR on 9:1 UNUN is almost flat from 1-30Mhz ( see the measured diagram in gallery)

  •   It has very low Insertion loss, from less than 0.1dB at 1.8MHz to 0.25dB at 28MHz, additional loss of a whole antenna could be expected from mismatch on coaxial cable and Tuner losses (see the diagram at gallery of S21 measurement of two back to back 9:1 UNUNs)

·        It takes only moments to deploy the antenna. Pull the wire end into a tree, hang it off the balcony, lay it on the roof, hook it to a pole, hook it to a building, etc., and you are on the air and making contacts.

·        Most HF ham bands can be tuned by the tuner in your radio.  NOTE: to tune all HF ham bands an external tuner may be required.

·        It could work without counterpoise (Coaxial cable has to be at least 25feet long) but grounding at wing nut next to connector is recommended.

·         This antenna can be hung in many different configurations. It can be hung as a sloper, an inverted L, hung in a straight line, zigzagged, vertical, horizontal, etc. etc.

·        Antenna polarization is determined by your installation. Vertical, horizontal, or both can be accomplished.

·        Due to possible common mode currents on your feeder we recommend using CMC-Common Mode Choke/Line isolator reduce RF away from you and your equipment. It will also help you on receive by filtering induced noise from various sources.

Our CMC-Common Mode Choke/Filter/Line Isolator/Noise Suppressors are available at our Ebay store

No guarantee or liability is either expressed or implied pertaining to damages to persons, buildings, or equipment in the installation or use of our antennas. You must use extreme caution when working around power lines. If the antenna were to come into contact with a voltage carrying line it could be fatal.
