Summicron 50mm 1:2 (Leica M Mount) with filter, cap and storage case.

MADE IN GERMANY 

This is an excellent condition early production (Type 2) rigid Leica Summicron 50mm in M mount - super sharp. This lens is from my personal set and is well looked after. This 50mm Summicron has the same glass as the super sharp Dual Range Summicron version sold by Leica around the same period.

Exterior shows only minimal wear from normal use in the form of minor bright marks around more vulnerable surfaces and some marks on the mount. Glass is very good in this example with no haze, no fungus, no scratches and no separation. Front glass is always protected by the filter (included, pictured), but it has occasionally been taken off to clean the lens, so if you are very pedantic you will find couple of light hairline marks on the glass with a loupe. 

Mechanically, this lens is very good. Aperture is smooth and clicks into place firmly. Focusing is also good.
