For Buy-it-Now auction is the main target without plastic feet and not working toy by Knickerbocker, Cap'n Crow target game. As it exists, this makes a stunning display as a vintage comical pirate toy. Back in 1958 this must have been one hilarious toy... zapping a target with a dart gun causing a pirate crow to open it's beak, squawk, and then shift its eyes from a glaring stare to the cartoon equivalent of being zonked...plus-sign eyes. No wonder it did all this. Cap'n Crow was designed by Marvin Glass & Associates, the creators of many incredible physical play toys and games of the 50s & 60s with more to come at this point in time. This game was to be one of the Knickerbocker series of target games. As for its artwork, the target features a pirate theme with a crow wearing a pirate hat and head scarf, while holding a blunderbuss and cutlass with wings extended. This all taking place amidst scenery of a pirate ship off shore and treasure chest, also as artwork of the heavy cardboard target. Then protruding from the background are both a cardboard belt buckle which is the bullseye to aim for, and the plastic beak which is to open upon a direct hit. The eyes are die-cut holes with a sliding cardboard of either the eyes staring or plus-sign graphics. I am selling this as an non-working target for adult collectors to display or possibly for parts. This is no longer to be used by a child of any age for play. The condition of the target itself shows wear from use, age and storage. Those conditions include, stains, dirt, scratches, scrapes, a dinged frayed corner, upper left edge ding, corner wear, tarnish or surface rust to metal parts of the motor mechanism and what appears to be some fine paint over spray or paint specs which can be seen upon close examination. The color is good with little fading. The target measures approximately 17 1/4 X 13 1/4 inches. Please ask questions in advance with this being sold as-is and not returnable. Shipping includes insurance and tracking.
