A mid-century modern Israeli art pottery relief tile by the 
esteemed artist Ruth Faktorowicz (aka Ruth Faktor). 
It is signed F. Ruth in the lower left corner.
The tile is in perfect condition, and dates to
the 1960's - 70's.
6 inches (15 cm) wide x 4 inches (10 cm) high.
 
Ruth Faktorowicz was born in Ramat-Gan, Israel in 1937.  
She studied with Israel's leading sculptor, A. Doctor 
and ceramics under Israeli ceramicist Zohar Guri, 
who's Modernist style clearly influenced Ruth's style.
From 1973 to 1977 Ruth studied at the Ramat-Gan Art School 
where she specialized in sculpture and modern art.  
Her home is decorated with modern art works and many ceramic 
sculptures, most by her daughter, also a noted artist.
Ruth's work often depicts themes of peace, family and friendship, 
and also the townscapes of Israel.
Ruth's works are exhibited in galleries world wide, and she is 
a member of 'The Israel Ceramic Organization'.
