This auction is for a Gene Kranz hand signed Apollo 14 autographed lithograph taken of a Saturn V launch and set into a double mounted gold trim display with an official NASA AB Emblem Apollo Program Mission Patch, to create an absolutely stunning display that will become a definite talking piece.

Apollo 14

  Thisflight marked the third lunar landing and return mission. First use of mobileequipment transporter (a small two-wheeled handcart) on the lunar surface. Timeon the lunar surface, distance traversed and payload returned from the Moonwere considerably greater than previous missions. After a delayed liftoff andmodified translunar trajectory, the Lunar Module "Antares" landed onthe Moon on February 5 at 4:18 AM EST. Landing occurred in the Fra Maurohighlands, just 87 feet from its target point. Astronauts Shepard and Mitchellmade two excursions on the lunar surface totaling nine hours, 24 minutes, whileRoosa conducted scientific experirnents from the CSM in lunar orbit. Lunar liftoffoccurred on February 5 after 33 hours and 32 minutes on the Moon. Rendezvous,docking and transfer were normal. The Command Module and its crew landed safelyat 4:05 PM EST on February 9 in Mid-Pacific, within one mile of its plannedlanding point.
