Original vintage Bally Centaur II Pinball Machine in full working condition. The game is the second release of Bally's Centaur, with most differences being VERY minor with the exception of the cabinet style. This game was manufactured by Bally Manufacturing in 1983. Centaur (and Centaur II), is one of the most collected games of this era. It uses the Bally 2518-35 MPU, and features full speech, unique multi-ball play and a deep rule set. This machine is in excellent working condition with no mechanical or electrical issues. I would consider this to be a vey good collector quality example.
The machine has been recently cleaned and fully shopped, all rubber and bad light bulbs were replaced, and the playfield and all plastics were cleaned and polished. All electronics have been tested, serviced and repaired as needed.
The game plays strong and fast!! All the displays are strong and there are no issues with any of them. The playfield is in above average condition for a game of this era, it does have minor wear in the middle of the playfield, which is far better than most original Centaur playfields that I have seen. A former owner applied mylar over the center of the playfield to prevent any further wear.
Replacement "ORBS" targets and 2-piece pop-bumper caps and skirts have been ordered from Marco Specialties. You may notice the targets do not match, I will replace the center targets and pop caps before this game leaves my possession. These spare bally parts were just put on to shop the game and allow me to play it while waiting for the parts to arrive.
The backglass does have some delamination on the very bottom, but you would probably not notice it unless you were specifically looking for it. Right slingshot plastic is cracked in the middle, replacement sets are available from major pinball vendors.
Cabinet is in very good shape, solid, some minor bumps and bruises from being in an arcade, but generally in very good condition. Graphics show well with no noticeable fading.
All game features and sounds work like they should, has strong flippers and all other coils, switches, and other functions of the game have been tested and repaired as needed. Game will come with new pinballs.
This Collector quality machine would be perfect for your shop garage or man cave.
