Sari silk ribbon is a silk ribbon yarn produced from the remnants of sari silk fabric from the sari mills in India. It is the leftover silk sari fabric that would otherwise be destroyed and sent to landfill. This ribbon yarn has been made into a silk ribbon yarn by a women's co-operatives in India custom hand dyed for Yarn Yarn. These talented artisans tie or sew sari ribbon strips end to end to form a continuous yarn. Yarn Yarn have our colours custom dyed for us to our specifications.

We have been working with these women's co-operatives since 2008, these ethical yarns are truly special and made from waste silk.
