A scarce and very beautiful Gray-Stan art glass vase dating from around 1930.

The Gray-Stan art glassworks was established in Battersea, London by Elizabeth Graydon-Stannus in 1926 and closed 10 years later in 1936.

This is a lovely free blown flared & footed vase with a stunning blue & green swirled and streaked effect. It has a polished pontil mark and an etched makers mark "Gray-Stan" British.

Condition

Overall excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration.

There are a few small air bubbles along with just minor scratches and expected wear to the base.

Any light marks are due to lighting or camera flash.

Dimensions

Measures approx. 17 cm (just under 6 3/4") high.

Measures approx. 14.1 cm (just over 5 1/2") diameter (at the flared neck rim).
