Replacement ARP Pro Soloist/Pro DGX Aftertouch Sensor

This brand-new touch sensor will replace old and worn sensors of the Pro Soloist, Pro DGX, the Quadra, and can be added to many other Pratt Read keyboards such as the Odyssey and the Minimoog. This sensor feels better than the original and gives players more precise control over the aftertouch effect.  The old sensors in these instruments are basically junk and require excessive force even to get very little response.  This is because the resistive medium dried out after a short time and the resistance of the strip increased significantly.  These new sensors will make the aftertouch on these instruments a joy to play.  This is a must-have upgrade for any Pro Soloist/Pro DGX.  Don't believe anyone telling you that the old 70's sensor "works like a charm".    Each sensor includes all necessary mounting hardware, wiring, and an installation guide. Bring your ARP keyboard's aftertouch back to life and get the most out of your synth.

We have sensor strips available for $35 if you want to refurbish your original bar and use the old felt.  However, be aware that the old bar must be completely cleaned of old adhesive, as even a speck of it can cause the new sensor to activate (sensor no longer "open circuit" when not being touched).  The sensors have very delicate and brittle "tails" that are easily broken.  Our fully assembled sensors have a protective plastic sheath that will prevent this from happening.  If reusing the old felt, we recommend using double sided 3M tape to stick the old felt back onto the sensor, as many glues will actually eat through the sensor lining.
