* 40 hour heat packs (shipping warmers) activate in about 45 minutes.

* 40 hour heat packs will achieve a higher maximum temperature when compared to 45 hour shipping warmers.

* DO NOT activate a heat pack by placing it on counter. This will cause very little heat production. The best way to quickly activate a heat pack is by placing it in a jacket pocket or wrapped in a cloth bag. 

* 40 hour heat packs reach their peak temperature in approximately 12  hours,  then slowly cool.
