It has the same stepping number (B0) as the E5-2698 v4 production processor SR2JW, providing identical features, hardware compatibility, and very close specifications, except for a higher base clock. Unlike the early engineering samples (ES0 or ES2) for popular E5-2699 V4 of Broadwell-EP, this processor supports all LGA 2011-3 motherboards with latest BIOS releases, including branded servers/workstations and all brand X99 motherboards and has the same speed as ES2 E5-2699 V4.
