Frequently asked questions:
Will this card work with the QuadraSynth/QuadraSynth Plus Piano or the S4/S4 Plus Sound Module? Yes, ALL QuadraCards work FINE with the original QuadraSynth keyboards and S4 Sound Modules as well as the QS series. Unlike the newer QCards which require that you load a special Preset Bank into your User Bank in order to use the QCard with the original Quadrasynth, the QuadraCards are "almost" Plug-and Play with the original Quadrasynth and S4 modules. I say "almost" because you still have to load the Preset Bank FROM the QuadraCard into the original Quadrasynth/S4 User Bank prior to accessing the sounds. But this is MUCH easier than what is required to use the newer QCards, which require a Special Preset Bank to make the cards work. All QuadraCards are true "Plug-and-Play" with the Quadrasynth Plus Piano and the S4 Plus.
You said ALL QuadraCards work with the Quadrasynth and S4 Modules - isn't the World Ethnic Card a QCard? What is a QuadraCard? The World Ethnic Card is a QuadraCard. Before the QCards, Alesis introduced the QuadraCards as a sound expansion option for the Quadrasynth and S4 models. The QuadraCards have the format of the original Quadrasynth (which is also compatible with the Quadrasynth Plus Piano and the newer QS series). When Alesis introduced the QS6 (and subsequent QS models), they changed the name to QCards and they changed the card Preset Bank format to that of the Quadrasynth Plus Piano model, which is different than the original Quadrasynth. So the newer QCards are Plug-and-Play with the Quadrasynth Plus Piano and all of the QS series synths, but need a Special Preset Bank which Alesis created just for the original Quadrasynth in order to use them with the Quadrasynth. Since the QuadraCards (like the World Ethnic card) were created for the Quadrasynth, no Special Preset bank is needed for use with the Quadrasynth.
You said ALL QuadraCards were created for the Quadrasynth/S4 Modules and the Quadrasynth Plus Piano. Will a QuadraCard work with a newer QS series synth like the QS7.1? YES - the original QuadraCards are forward compatible with ALL Quadrasynth and QS series models.
Will this card work with the Alesis DG8 88 Note digital Piano? Yes, ALL QuadraCards work FINE with the Alesis DG8 in addition to the QS Series Synths.
NOTE: I believe in fair shipping fees, but due to US Postal Rate changes, I have had to raise my shipping fees. I securely pack my cards using cardboard inserts and bubble packs, and the Post Office NO LONGER ships these packages at the letter rate. And they ALSO drastically changed international rates. So my new shipping fees are $4.50 via US First Class Mail in the continental US. Worldwide shipping is no longer a flat rate, I need to know your country before I can give you exact rates. I have found the new rates to range from around $6.00 to $9.00, depending on country. Sorry about this, I have kept my rates constant and fair for years but the recent rate changes have forced me to make these changes. Add $2.60 more if you want shipping insurance. PayPal accepted.
