These retired figures were produced from the original Ideal molds in the 1980s. This lot features two complete 12-piece sets of 8 foot and mounted figures, 2 horses and 2 jousting lances. a total of 24 pieces.

These models are based on pose designs from the Hal Foster Prince Valiant comic strip and the 1954 movie starring Robert Wagner, Janet Leigh, Sterling Hayden and James Mason. The set includes 2 each of the character figures of Prince Valiant, King Arthur, Princess Aleta, Sir Gawaine and mounted Prince Arne, plus 2 each of 4 other foot and 1 additional mounted poses, 4 medieval war horses in 2 poses and 4 jousting lances.

This range has been out of production for nearly 20 years, but the figures are in pristine mint condition. They have been stored in our smoke-free, climate-controlled warehouse since they were initially purchased from the manufacturer in the 1980s.
