Vintage Large Seascape Oil on Canvas Painting Signed Hasgrave (?)
This is a Large Gorgeous Oil on Canvas Seascape Ocean Painting. It is signed in the lower right what appears to be "Hasgrave"(?), although I can't quite make the signature out definitively. I was not able to identify the artist but it is a finely painted piece.
It depicts an ocean with rough, frothy white-capped waves crashing against a rocky shoreline. Light blue and soft aquas paint the ocean and colossal mountains can be seen in the distance.
This is an amazing vintage painting by an exceptional unidentified artist! The painting came from a large estate in Connecticut that had a large collection of paintings including many listed artists. It is vintage and is estimated to have been done sometime between 1950 and 1965.
This is a Large -sized painting and measures: 38 1/2" by 23 5/8" including the frame.
The painting showing inside of the frame measures: 29 3/8" by 14 1/2".
Condition: This painting could use a cleaning and has a few small areas of light dirt that will come off with a cleaning but in my opinion they aren't noticeable. Otherwise, the painting is in Very Good Vintage Condition.
