The lighter is ready to use just add fuel.
I installed a new flint and it has a strong spark.
There is no carbon deposits on or around the wick. (see picture no. 2)
It Looks great with very lite cosmetic ware and some faint tarnish on the sides from decades of storage.

The fuel cap now opens and closes with no problems.
The fuel refill cap was hard to unscrew the first time and it is a little marked up.
The box is fully intact with no damage and it looks great.
I have years of experience with vintage lighters and this lighter will operate as described, spark and light up just add fluid.
