For sale is a connecting attachment upgrade for the Cinch 140 and Cinch 141 connectors which are generally used for speaker terminals as well as other electrical connections.

This sale is for 1 pair connector attachment with mounting screw.

These attachments will provide an easy and firm connection for external wire installation.  It will dramatically improve the connecting ability of both signal transfer and secured connection.

Why are these needed and why were they made?  In 2015, BTC Canada, a high tech engineering company designed as requested by their customer to improve the connecting ability of the existing Cinch 140 Cinch 141 connectors.  These attachments are used CNC machined handmade, then hand polished to a fine jeweler finishing standard.

My husband luckily managed to get some of these attachments for his McIntosh tube amplifier, MC240, MC60 and MC275 tube amplifiers and he has said that it greatly improves both sonic clarity and dynamic response in his audio system.  See photos.

My husband is willing to share it with you so we put some up for sale.  You won’t find this anywhere in the world, BTC Canada is the only company making them.  Once they are sold, they are gone, you will almost never be able to find them again as they are custom made one offs. The only thing similar I have seen are some cheap China made brass connectors which use the connector-on-connector connecting method; a terrible connection method which gives you the least direct connection method possible introducing noise and dulling sound performance.
These connectors are extremely versatile.

They can be used with bare wire speaker cables (the most direct connection), spade connectors or even banana plugs.

The connectors should fit McIntosh MC30, MC40, MC50, MC60, MC75, MC240, mc250 MC275 as well as many others, pretty much anything that uses the Cinch 140 and 141 connector (Which is pretty much everything from that era).

BTC Canada introduces three installation methods for these attachments:

1.  Sure Contact (good) – remove the original connection 6-32 #6 screw, directly bolt the new connector main body to the Cinch 141 connector slot with the supplied #6 screw.

2. Sure Contact (good to best) – remove the original connection 6-32 #6 screw and L-shape terminal and a) replace with the optional 99.99 OFS pure copper L-sharp terminal (either Gold or Rhodium plating available), it may required some wire soldering during replacement, b) bolt the new connector main body onto the Cinch 141 connector slot with the supplied #6 screw.

3.
Perfect Connection (the best) – remove the original connection 6-32 #6 screw and L-shape terminal and 1) bring the internal speaker wires out from the terminal thru the L-shape terminal entry (top hole), all the way to the mounting hole (bottom hole), 2) bolt the new connector main body onto the Cinch 141 connector slot with the new supplied #6 screw. Make sure the internal speaker wires are fully pressed underneath of the new connector main body with the supplied #6 screw.  When the external speaker wire is installed, it will be secured by the wire holding screw, both the external and internal speaker wires will be pressed together and connect directly forming a perfect connection.
