Passiflora holosericea is a rare species in subgenus decaloba, the batwing passion flowers. It is a fast-growing, fairly large vine, with fuzzy leaves. The flowers have white petals and golden-yellow filaments that are brick red at the base, and they appear in clusters of 2-6 at each node. A mature vine can have dozens of flowers open at a time. There are no hybrids of P. holosericea, because it has a different number of chromosomes from other passion vines. It is a tropical plant, fully winter hardy only in zones 9-10 and higher.

These plants are 1-2 feet long in 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inch deep or 4 inch pots. Depending on the variety and the time of year, many of our plants are beginning to produce flower buds or are even blooming at the time of shipping. Often they are much larger than advertised. Most vines are trained on bamboo stakes, and they will generally be shipped that way. They will be shipped in the pot to protect the rootball. We never remove any of the soil for shipping. The plants are very well rooted, and ready to be planted in a larger pot or in the ground.

All photographs used in our listings are our own, taken at our nursery or in the gardens where the parent plants are grown. This is so our customers know what they are getting, and can be sure that the plants perform as advertised. Permission is NOT granted to use our photographs for any commercial purposes.

PLEASE READ OUR RETURN/REFUND POLICY BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE: We are not able to offer a 14 day return policy for plants as we do for seeds and merchandise. We ship plants in excellent condition, Priority Mail, and we immobilize them in the box with bamboo stakes and packing peanuts. If, despite our best efforts, the plant arrives dead or broken due to some negligence on our part, we will refund the purchase price or send you a replacement. You must notify us of the problem within 3 days of delivery, and send substantiating digital photos. Once you have had the plant for longer than 3 days, its condition is no longer our responsibility.
