Near Mint Condition

The Minolta 17-35mm G zoom is a great lens in its own right and offers unparalleled value in a wide angle zoom. This lens represents the pinnacle of Minolta lens design in a wide angle. The “G” designation was applied to the few, best lenses in their catalogue with superior design, engineering, manufacture, and of course, image quality that met the “G” standard. 

This lens in near mint condition with no appreciable wear – you will likely call it ‘mint’. There is no wear to the lens cosmetics and enamel that I can detect, even under close inspection. The caps and hood look equally fine. This is my personal wide angle zoom and as I am migrating to glass that fits the A7II in my bag, it is time to send this one to a better home. The lens has never been dropped, always stored in a padded backpack and saw much less use than my CZ2470. 

The glass is absolutely pristine. It is free of any imperfection including fungus, coating blemishes, dust or scratches. The aperture blades are oil free and snappy and the 5 pin contact mount is unmarked. Internal focus (IF) is smooth and quick. 

Zoom and focus are smooth and supple. The zoom rotation has a nice resistance to it, like a new lens.  

This was one of my favorite lenses and it’s taken me a while to get it listed. 

This is an Alpha mount lens and will require an adapter to work with E and FE mount bodies. 

Included is the original petal hood and pinch style classic Minolta front and Minolta rear lens cap.
