Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone #135644

This beautiful and rare instrument was carefully built in Paris by the famous Selmer makers in 1966. The sound is magnificent: ample, warm and very open. Great projection. The Selmers of the years 1965-1967 are particularly renowned on this subject. Many professional jazzmen like John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, David Sanborn or Kenny Garrett did choose instruments from this short period for the great power they are able to develop without ever being aggressive.

This saxophone is a one-owner instrument which was played only at the beginning of its life during several years before being put in a closet. Since, it stayed safely until it was discovered last month. This fantastic instrument was still in excellent original condition and just got a full professional overhaul using high quality French pads. Setup is perfect and action is very light and fast.

Original gold lacquer. Some lacquer wear and oxidation here and there. Original neck never pulled down. Original case in good condition.

Don't miss the opportunity to buy this exceptional saxophone, masterpiece of musical history! Very few remain on the market today : they are so cherished by professional musicians and sought after by collectors. Be sure it will be quite impossible to find another like this one, in this condition and at this price!
