DESCRIPTION

WOW! Huge iridescent blue "morpho" butterfly edged in black with white spots. Huge wingspan, most impressive. Underside (verso) brown with eye-like "owl" markings. Rarely offered sub-species from Costa Rica. Please note the females are darker than the males, it is difficult to get the exact colour when taking the photo.

PAPERED = Supplied flat packed in paper envelope with wings closed and limbs folded. Require relaxing and setting.

SET/SPREAD = Supplied SET wings spread pinned and dried with data label. Ready for cabinet or display. No work required.

Please note: Be sure to buy the correct format! SET specimens are supplied in either a card or polystyrene box. They do not come framed.

SPECIMEN QUALITY CODES

A1 = Perfect. Ex pupa. No defects.

A1- = Near perfect. Minor defects.

A- = Good but with obvious marks, minor tears, antenna damage, missing limbs.

A2 = Poor, excessive wing/antenna damage, rubbing, missing limbs. For reference only.

PHOTOGRAPHS.

Images on eBay are generic and show the type specimen. With multiple specimens being offered it is impossible to photograph each specimen. Please refer to quality code to gauge what quality specimen you will receive.
