Hello, my names Jeff and i have a passion for servicing Helios lenses back to their prime. To date, I've serviced well over 700 Helios lenses and sell them here for you to enjoy for many years to come.
I strip the lens down and using specialist cleaners, greases, ultra sonic cleanng tanks etc......... and then put the lens back together again for testing.
I spend a lot of time working on these Helios lens, and I pay a lot of attention to detail at every stage. I use a lot of expensive materials to service these lens.
All faded inner black element paint is re-blackened and then all elements are treated with a special wavelength UV light to kill bacteria. This is a routine part of my lens servicing.
I've taken a long vacation and now I'm back with more Helios for sale in my eBay store.
Some of my descriptions for my Helio lenses may seem similar, that would be because I feel it also matches another one and thus nearly the same.
The fact that you are looking at Helios means you probably already know that these 44-2's are legendary Carl Zeiss Biotar formula copies.

This is a great solid version of helios 44m which shares the biotar formula 6 elements in 4 blocks as the 44-2 but this version is sharper throughout and especially at f2
.

This lens is solid and hefty and looks like it could easily last 100 years no problem!
These are typically very uniform in image quality and bokeh.
I test shot this and it fully meets my expectations and at f2 its sharp and then at f4 its like Wow! And this is what I see from my 12MP Fuji Xpro 1 apsc camera, and imagine if you have a higher spec camera?
For sale is a excellent (pictures reflect the condition) M42 screw mount Helios 44M with a sparkling deep purple, multi coated elements which has been fully serviced and tested on my Fuji Xpro 1 camera, before being released for sale here. These multi coated elements can give you a nice warm saturations and good contrasts.

All my Helios lenses have gone through my nurturing and and calibration to be enjoyed by you! I always sell what I would myself, buy.
One can always buy and use 52mm lens filters for other effects.
The lens also give that really classic special bokeh which is special to these Helio's. These lenses are so underrated!
When I test shot this lens, i knew it was going to perform well.
The aperture dial clicks positively from end to end and the aperture control ring rotates as it should from end to end.
The 44m has a side A/M (AUTO/MANUAL) switch to control the aperture ring as some adapters don't have a flange to depress the rear aperture pin inwards. Hence this is when the A/M
switch comes in handy.
Aperture blades are clean and snappy after servicing as are on all my Helios lenses.
Looking through the lens, it looks crystal clear and both front and front elements look great! One can just gaze at these beautiful classics and be happy!
The focusing barrel turns from end to end in a smooth and steady way.
The barrel looks fantastically sharp clean and tidy, all markings are clear and the photos shows what you are getting and i'd say its bang neat and tidy!

This Helios performs so well, that i call it a wolf in sheeps clothing! You will be AMAZED!
