WILLY POGANY CONSTANCE BENNETT Two original news service photos from 1937/1938 depicting a Willy Pogany portrait of Bennett and another showing Bennett next to the portrait. Pogany painted the portrait but Bennett refused to accept it. The original new service paper snipe on the reverse of one explains why she refused to pay for the commission. There are numerous stamps and notes on the reverse of the two original photographs (apparently one appeared in Click magazine) and some light crop marks appear on the face of both. Extremely rare images and photos (8 x 10 inches and 7 x 9 inches).
