The Skyledge 2.1 tent is an elite ultralight backpacking tent that is structurally strong, versatile, and exceptionally durable compared to other ultralight backpacking tents available on the market.

The tent weighs about 3.5 lbs, has two doors and two vestibules and encloses almost 50 sq feet (27.5 sq ft interior and 22.4 sq ft in the vestibules).

The tent body is lightweight but very strong and durable. The tent floor is made with 70D PE coated nylon taffeta, the same fabric MH uses in its mountaineering class tents. The tent also implements the MH tension arch system that strengthens and reinforces the poles, creating an extremely taut shelter. The rainfly is made of a light weight PU/Sil coated ripstop nylon that sheds water like a ducks back. Precip just beads up and rolls off. Despite enduring heavy downpours, we have never had this rainfly wet out like so many other ultralight tent canopies we've tried.

The tent can be packed down so small it's ridiculous. You could practically stuff the rainfly and the tent body into two Nalgene bottles and have the stakes and footprint is one sack and the poles in another and that's it.

The Skyledge 2.1 is our favorite version of this tent.

With some practice, (and pre-planning), we found that it is possible to erect this tent in the rain without getting the interior soaking wet. Mountain Hardwear implemented a unique tent/pole/canopy connection system on this tent which makes this possible - even though it was not intended for this purpose. Also, like the Skyledge 2DP, which uses the DAC "Jakes Foot" system, the Skyledge 2.1 can be set up tith just the rainfly and footprint without the tent body.

This tent is in near pristine condition. The tent body and rainfly barely show any signs of use. There is one very small tear in the fabric of the rainfly on the flap that covers the zipper. It's almost unnoticeable and does not affect the integrity or performance of the tent. It has been repaired with tenacious tape applied to both sides of the fabric. The footprint, made from spun olefin (like heavy duty tyvek), does have some soiling from use- typical campsite dirt/dust stains. That's it. Otherwise, it is hard to tell this tent from new. It's beautiful.

This tent originally sold for $400.00. We are asking $245. If interested, feel free to make an offer. We'll consider it. Excellent tent at a great price.
