Schneider-Kreuznach Componon 28mm f/4 (f/2)
High quality 6 element enlarging lens, highly-regarded for macro photography. Works extremelly well as macro/bellows lens with great resolution/sharpness, contrast and excellent color-correction. Quite rare and hard to come by lens.
As you surely know, the maximum aperture of the Componon 4/28 is factory limited at f/4 while the optics itself is "faster" - f/2. This lens has been professionally modified and it opens completely to f/2. This way, when used for studio macro work you can work at higher magnification, reducing diffraction and gaining resolution and fine detail. Or if used for "creative" field macro, you can shoot with the lens wide-open reducing DOF and improving bokeh.
Comes mounted into M39 (Leica) thread adapter. Filter ring for reverse mounting is 30.5mm.
Condition
In excellent, gently used condition with clean and clear optics, no scratches, delamination, fungus, haze, or any damage that could impact image quality. Aperture is working properly, blades are perfect. Comes with original front cap and Rodenstock rear cap.
