Rare Vintage / Art Deco Standard China
Tea Set Milk Jug / Creamer.
White glazed, scalloped fine bone china enhanced by a beautiful pleated shape, a footed
base, with a pointed looped handle.
Decorated in the " Woodlands " pattern.
With a backdrop of upright, slender trees in brown, foliage & pastel pink, lemon and lilac blossoms.
Partially hand finished with raised dot, bright red centres.
Edged and trimmed with gilding.
Produced by Chapman's Longton Ltd with the trademark
Standard China of Longton, Staffordshire.
An early Standard China brown back stamp as shown,
From Pattern number 7417 - Dating to c 1930 +
Height 4 " / 10 cm.
Length - handle to spout 4.5" / 11.5 cm.
Comes in very good, clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.
The gilding is also in very good condition with only a light
rub to one side of the handle & from minimal use.
The pattern is still very clear, bright & the red dots are intact.
A wonderful, early and rare example of English tea ware which are becoming
so much harder to find and would be a beautiful addition to your collection,
set, display, ideal for wedding tableware or as a very pretty Art Deco / Vintage present !!
