TYT MD-446 compact UHF DMR handheld 5 Watt amateur transceiver

TYT's MD-446 is the company's latest DMR handheld transceiver.  It employs Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) technology and complies with Motorola's Mototrbo Tier I and Tier II standards.

RF output power is 5 Watts RF, and two antennas (9.5 & 36 cm) are supplied along with a drop-in charger and belt clip.  The radio has a full colour display and is supplied complete with a USB programming cable and software CD.

The MD-446 is covered by a 12-month warranty backed by Sinotel UK Ltd.

The radio is CE- and FCC-approved and ROHS compliant.

Orders received by 2 pm (Monday to Friday) will be dispatched the same day.  Standard delivery is via 2nd class recorded mail.  We also offer a guaranteed next working day courier service to most of the UK Mainland, please contact us for details (our telephone number is 01926-460203).

Buyers are also welcome to collect from our warehouse to save on delivery costs.  We're open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.

 IMPORTANT NOTICE 

There are other sellers on eBay offering transceivers slightly cheaper than we are.  There are good reasons for this, however:

• They claim their radios are shipped from a UK warehouse, but you will search their listings in vain for a UK phone number (or address) so you can talk to someone if you want more information about the product, or have a problem with something you've bought from them.

• Look closely and you'll find they are registered on eBay in China or Hong Kong, and as such they are under no obligation to adhere to consumer protection regulations like the Sale of Goods Act.  

• Their listings often include wording such as "all sales are final" - strictly illegal under UK consumer legislation - and if you have a problem with something you buy from them, you are probably going to have to return it to Hong Kong or China at your own expense. 

If all you are interested in is the lowest price, fair enough, but please be aware of the potential pitfalls before you decide.  

So, why should you pay a few more pounds for your radio and buy it from us instead?

• Sinotel UK was founded in October 2011 to import & distribute amateur radio equipment from the Far East.  We are a limited company based Warwick in England, and our company registration number is 07835114.

• We are authorised UK importers for TYT, Vero Telecom & Baofeng.  

• We are a bricks & mortar business with a warehouse in Warwickshire.  We are NOT a "cross border trading company" (whatever that is) operating from China or somebody's bedroom or garage, flogging 3D glasses one week, radios the next, and whatever we think will make a profit the week thereafter.

• Sinotel's managing director is the holder of an advanced UK radio amateur licence, has a keen & genuine interest in the hobby and is committed to supporting the products we sell and the customers who purchase from us. 

• Customers are welcome to pop into our warehouse to have a look at any of the products we sell before they hand over their money.  

• We can offer technical advice, information and assistance for all products that we sell.  You can talk to a real live person based in the UK!

• We support and honour the warranties for all products we sell.  If you have a problem with anything you've bought from us, we'll sort it out - you don't have to send your radio back to China and wait a month or more for a response!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Delivery dates & times are given as advice only and may vary due to circumstances beyond our control. We regret that we cannot accept orders where time is of the essence.

2. Items will require a signature on delivery. It is up to the buyer to ensure that they provide a delivery address where someone will be available to do so. The buyer will be responsible for any re-delivery charges payable if there is nobody at the address provided to accept the initial delivery.

3. It is the customer's responsibility to check goods on receipt for damage. If any transit damage has occurred we need to be notified within two working days of receipt to allow us to claim from the carriers.

4. Refunds cannot be made for items that have been damaged due to customer abuse/misuse or modified in any way.

5. This item is covered by a 12-month return-to-base warranty effective from the date of purchase (this excludes customer abuse/misuse or unauthorised modification).  Please note that the warranty does NOT cover the battery, as this is considered a consumable item, and its lifespan can be affected by factors outside of the manufacturer's control.  Batteries are warranted for a period of 30 days from date of purchase.

6. Provided an item is unused and in its original packaging it may be returned for a refund provided we are notified within 14 days of receipt.

7. If you wish to return an item, please be kind enough to let us know first so we can issue you with a returns number. That way we know to expect the item and can deal with it quickly when it arrives.

8. When returning an item to us it is the customer's responsibility to cover the cost thereof and to ensure it is securely packed & insured. We can't process a refund or replacement if an item is damaged or lost in transit en route to us.

9. Your order is an offer to buy from us. Nothing that we do or say will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we actually dispatch an item to you, at which point a contract will be made between us. At any point prior to this we may decline to supply an item to you. If we do so we will refund in full any amount you have already paid us for that item.

10. We can accept no liability for direct-, consequential- or any other losses whatsoever arising from our supply of goods to a customer. Our total liability in any instance will not exceed the value of the goods concerned.
