***Sinking Mopani Wood***

This driftwood is very exotic, It has been hand selected from hundreds of pieces in Africa, and has become very hard to find in recent years.  It has been very vigorously cleaned and is fully tank ready.  You will find Mopani driftwood with this much character very hard to come by.  This is a hard wood and will sink readily into your tank.  Just rinse and enjoy!

*Taxidermy*

This wood is also great for use with taxidermy.  We are also happy to make pre-cuts to the wood for little or no extra charge depending on your requirements for mounting purposes.

This is natural wood and may release harmless tannins into the water.  Depending on the size of your aquarium this can “tint” your aquarium water a natural light brown color.  You can lessen this effect by presoaking the wood in a bucket for a couple weeks, or as long as it takes for the tannins to bleed out.  With regular water changes they will eventually go away.  The tannins are actually a great benefit to many soft water fish and can also help stimulate breeding.  When using it for gardening or aquarium decoration, we are always more than happy to help you decide if it would meet your requirements.  Never hesitate to email us with any questions.
