THIS BEAUTIFUL FREE BLOWN GLASS STANDING STAG DEER HAS A TUBULAR BODY WITH ANNEALED LEGS, EARS, TAIL AND ANTLERS. IN RARE FORM, HIS ANNEALED ANTLERS, LEGS AND EARS WERE ANNEALED WITH COLORED GLASS IN A BEAUTIFUL LIME OR CHARTREUSE GREEN. HE ALSO HAS AN ANNEALED STAND AT THE FEET SO HE CAN BE USED AS A TABLE DECORATION. FOR HANGING ON THE TREE, YOU CAN INSERT A CAP AND METAL HANGER IN THE OPEN MOUTH. HE STANDS 5” TALL AND IS IN VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION WITH THE FOLLOWING FLAWS: THE BACK TIP OF HIS RIGHT ANTLER MAY HAVE A SMALL BREAK, HOWEVER WHEN I RUB MY FINGER ACROSS THAT AREA THERE IS NO SHARPNESS, BUT I NEED TO POINT IT OUT. ALSO, AS IS COMMON WITH MOST OF THE SILVERED DEER, SOME OF THE SILVERING HAS OXIDIZED AROUND THE HEAD AND NECK. HE STILL HAS HIS ORIGINAL LABEL ~ “MADE IN GERMANY” ON HIS BELLY, BUT IT HAS FADED OVER THE YEARS. HE WAS MOST LIKELY MADE IN AROUND THE CITY OF LAUSHA, GERMANY. UNTIL 1940, THE LAUSHA REGION OF GERMANY WAS KNOWN AS THE GLASS ORNAMENT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. IN ITS DAY, LAUSCHA AND ITS SURROUNDING AREA PRODUCED ABOUT 95% OF THE ORNAMENTS THAT DECORATED AMERICAN TREES. HE IS A BEAUTIFUL PIECE THAT IS UNLIKE THE MAJORITY OF THE DEER MADE IN THIS MANNER. Please keep in mind that vintage/antique items are OLD ~ 50 to 100 years old. Thus, they will probably NOT be perfect. They may have paint loss, glitter loss, mica loss, dents, bumps, scratches. They have usually all been used in the past and thus have the patina of age and use. As with all my auctions there are lots of pictures for judging coloring and condition - don t forget to supersize them for your best view.********************Almost all my items are older and used and come from estate sales, and unless described as perfect, may have to be cleaned; polished, etc., to look their best. Because they are items from bygone days, I cannot guarantee that they are from a smoke free or pet free environment. Every effort has been made to describe the item as accurately as possible. I urge bidders to examine all photos and descriptions carefully and to e-mail me with any questions, concerns, or clarifications prior to the end of auction. If I have made a mistake, refund is for item price not postage.

In accordance with the new e-bay paperless policy, PayPal only accepted - pay with PayPal via PayPal account, e-check or credit card. Ebay will send you an invoice at the end of the auction. If you need any special handling, want insurance or want to upgrade the shipping method, contact me as soon as possible. Payment must be received within 3 days or item will reported to ebay as an unpaid item. If payment is going to be delayed, just notify me before the 5th day. If you want to delay payment because you will be bidding on another item, please notify me before the 5 days are over to avoid an unpaid item report.

Professionally packaged - if anything, I over package. I always look for the least expensive method of shipping to save buyers money on shipping. Shipping charges in the U.S. usually include delivery confirmation. I also combine multiple items in shipping whenever possible - just let me know that you are planning to bid on additional items. Shipping should be quoted at the top except for items weighing over 1 lb, then there should be a shipping calculator for your use - if not, please e-mail for shipping information. (Shipping may include a very slight charge for handling). In general, I strive to ship within 1 business day. I sometimes mail on Saturdays, but that is one of the days that I am going to estate auctions & sales, etc. to get more items for my buyers. If you need your package quickly, just let me know. |

Returns are accepted only if I have grossly misrepresented the item. Refunds are for the cost of the item only. Return postage paid by the buyer. |
