Pocket Watch "Omega" Swiss Made 15 Jewel Open Face Working

This is an old Omega Swiss made pocket watch in good condition with 'J W Sargent Tamworth’ printed on its dial. It is pendant wind and set with nickel plated or white metal (there are no identifying markings) open face case. It measures 50.8mm in diameter and just over 16.4mm thick and has a snap on front bezel with hinged rear inner and outer dust covers with tight hinges. The case is in good condition with only a few minor dents in the rear outer cover however there is wear to the plating on the outer rear cover of the case (see photos). The case is marked “Omega” with the serial number “1323821”. The porcelain dial is in excellent condition with no hairline cracks and only two very small edge chips at the 5 o’clock mark only just visible with the bezel in place (see photos). The watch has a non bevelled edge glass crystal in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. The movement is marked “J W Sargent Tamworth, Swiss Made” and has an Omega makers mark stamped on the balance cock showing the movement is original to the case. The movement has a lever escapement with 15 jewels. The marking on the dial of the watch shows it was sold by J W Sargent, who was a watchmaker in Ruthven St Toowoomba in 1903.

The watch works, and I have wound and run it for 24 hours on my desk, and it appeared to keep time to within a couple of minutes. The watch has not been cleaned or serviced and so is sold as is.

This is a vintage item and therefore has wear. It is offered as is without guarantee other than an honest description. I do offer a refund policy, if you are not entirely satisfied and contact me within 7 days of receiving the watch I am happy to refund the purchase price of the watch (but not the postage costs) when it has been returned. I will only refund postage costs if I have made an error in my description of the watch.
