You're bidding on a vintage portable / laptop computer by CAF Technology / Fontex, model Prolite 286-16, manufactured in December 1989...  According to history, the January 1990 export shipment of  100 of this line of portable computers was tested by U.S. custom to find questionable EGA Bios code ... This is what I learned from Google...  Please do your own research but I'll include a printout of my research on this issue!   I do not know for sure whether this is one of them that may still contain the original code or may have been corrected ...  This listing also comes with manual and original carrying case....  computer itself is a whopping 15lbs, approx.

This is my personal computer purchased many moons ago and was hardly used...  now became one of my collectibles!   If memory serves me right, it was touted to be the 1st IBM AT-compatible 80286 portable computer with EGA plasma screen...  again, please do your own research to confirm history

Please see the photo of the boot screen...  Computer runs /boot fine but floppy does not seem to work  when I popped in an old DOS boot disk happened to be laying around for years... Drive needs to be cleaned as it hasn't been used for years and it worked fine prior to storage...

Please see additional photos for condition, model #, etc...    Physically, computer looks great in my opinion; well kept, not abused... the grill/opening for the fan on the rear has been crush/cracked and can use some crazy glue.
