When your car was new, the keys were tied together with a black plastic loop.
Attached to the loop was a small black plastic square tag.
Stuck to the tag was a small white paper label.
This is the only source of the key number.
It is not in your V5, service book or on the key itself,
so please do not email me asking where you can find this number.
The small white label will either have a 2 digit number above a 5 digit number
or 3 digit number above a 4 digit
