It winds but does not tick or keep time. I do not have the proper tool to get the back off of the watch so I was not able to take photographs of the inside. Some of the watches I sell are mechanical and the winding type. In these case of watches I am unsure of age or if it works as it will need a new battery. I am not a jeweler...I just list what I find in drawers, etc at estate. No guarantees as to if the watch will work once the new battery is installed. We sell a lot of estate watches and would go broke if we bought batteries for every watch we sell. AS IS. Used condition as pictured.
