For your review - A near mint condition Dual Mono Denon POA-2800.

I am the original owner and they have always been loved and care for in a smoke free home. The only reason I'm selling is life has lead me in a different direction and it is time to let things go.

This Magnificent looking Denon POA 2800 Power Amp is a monster high current stereo amplifier delivering a conservative 200 watts per channel. Amazing clarity with a total harmonic distortion rating of .002% at 8 ohms. Huge power supply. Weighs 40 pounds. Excellent bass extension down to well below audible levels. Provides a very deep sound stage. Transparent, effortless high frequencies and Solid mid-range. Signal to noise ratio 123 DB (A-weighting).

Everything working according to spec.

This is a rare and desirable elegantly massive Denon POA-2800 Power Amplifier from the glory days of Denon. This unit is fully functional and in excellent condition in every respect (with the minor exception of the sticky power switch mentioned earlier).

This amp sold for $800.00 in 1988 and would probably cost $2500 + today considering its build quality and specs. The sound is very neutral and clean throughout the spectrum with tightness and control in the low end being its trade mark.

Taking a close look to the workmanship and finish, you can immediately see that Denon really gave it’s all here. In true Denon tradition, it's built like a tank and is almost all metal.

With a massive power transformer this amplifier is built like they should be, with plenty of power reserves to comfortably drive almost any speaker system. It produces 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms with an incredibly low .005% total distortion. Signal to noise ratio is an amazing 123 db. There are two huge 33,000 mf (66,000 total) electrolytic caps in the power supply and a huge toroidal transformer.

This amp is truly satisfying and impressive in every way. Obvious power and clarity with amazing low end warmth. The sound stage is precise and it is extremely quiet. This amp makes good speakers sound great, and great speakers sing like never before!
