Hello, my names Jeff and i have a passion for servicing Helios lenses back to their prime. To date, I've serviced well over 700 Helios lenses and sell them here for you to enjoy for many years to come.

I strip the lens down and using specialist cleaners, greases, ultra sonic cleanng tanks etc......... and then put the lens back together again for testing.

I spend a lot of time working on these Helios lens, and I pay a lot of attention to detail at every stage. I use a lot of expensive materials to service these lens.

All inner faded black elements are re-blackened and then all the element groups are treated with a special wavelength UV light to kill bacteria which is a routine part of my servicing.

I burn my oil lamp into the very early hours of the morning servicing my lenses when all my village is fast asleep.  I enjoy my work and get satisfaction knowing that my customers will be enjoying their
helios lenses.

Some of my descriptions for my Helio lenses may seem similar, that would be because I feel it also matches that of another one and thus leaving the relevant description as it is and adding any differences.

The fact that you are looking at Helios means you probably already know that these 44-2's are legendary Carl Zeiss Biotar formula copies.

A BEAUTIFUL FINE EXAMPLE OF A RARER BLACK CLASSIC OF CLASSICS 44-2 MODEL IN SATIN BLACK:
THIS PARTICULAR ONE CAUGHT MY EYES WITH ITS MEGA SPARKLING BRIGHT PURPLE CRYSTAL CLEAR OPTICS THAN NORMAL.  THIS IS NO EXAGGERATION.

The purple coatings on this beauty are multi coated.
These are typically very uniform in image quality and bokeh.
For sale is a high quality (pictures reflect the condition) looking Classic  M42 screw mount Helios 44-2 lens which has been fully serviced and tested on my Fuji Xpro 1 camera, before being released for sale here.   

These multi coated elements gives you a nice medium saturations and good contrasts.

Right, I just did a few quick test shots as I'm preparing this listing to remind me of what this lens can do. As expected, its very VERY sharp even at f2 and at f4 the sharpness enters another level and the details come out even more. The colours are rendered so nicely and not over saturated.
As I'm shooting a metal object at f5.6, its uber sharp that I can almost taste the metal!

From experience and knowledge, this lens has all the trademarks of a top lens as they made these with more care and attention to quality. Ticks all my boxes.

It is in a fabulous classic black style and shoots as good as these get. I'm sure you'll get the buzz from shooting with this Helios too!

All my Helios lenses have gone through my nurturing and and calibration to be enjoyed by you! I always sell what I would myself, buy.

One can always buy and use 49mm lens filters for other effects.

The lens also give that really classic special bokeh which is special to these Helio's. These lenses are so underrated!

When I test shot this lens, i knew it was going to perform well.

The aperture dial clicks positively from end to end and the aperture control ring rotates as it should from end to end.

Aperture blades are clean and snappy after servicing as are on all my Helios lenses.

Looking through the lens, it looks water clear and both front and front elements look great.  One can just gaze at these beautiful classics and be happy!

images are sharp and clear.  Upon scrutiny all images look in order.

The focusing barrel turns from end to end in a smooth and steady way.

The barrel looks fantastically sharp clean and tidy, all markings are clear as you can see in the photos. the photos shows what you are getting and i'd say its bang neat and tidy!
It looks cosmetically better in real life than the pics show.
The gallery photos shows a true reflection of the condition of the lens for sale.

This Helios performs so well, that i call it a wolf in sheeps clothing! You will be AMAZED!
