On board 5volt power supply (for micro only). Input voltage to board is 5v to 12v.
Separate supply must be used if external circuit contains 5v relays etc.
On board 20mhz crystal oscillator.
ICSP connector for programming the micro controller, saves removing the chip.
Power and all the available inputs and outputs all go to the 18 pin edge connector. Please Note that's the A5 reset pin as its own jumper connector and A6 & A7 pins do not go to the edge connector due to been used by the crystal oscillator.
The edge connector can be plugged directly into breadboard, which makes it easy to experiment with.

It can be programmed using the on board ICSP connector, Uses are controlling its outputs when looking at its inputs, sensors, switches, keypad etc.
Example would be, Door entry system, using a keypad for code and operating a door release.
Modified sine wave inverter. With external output transistors and transformer etc.
Burglar alarm system, looking at window and door sensors, output to a siren or bell.
Flashing LED light displays.
1000's of projects it can be programmed to do.
Extra components will be required for most projects, LEDs, relays,etc.
