This watch is ticking at present and seems to be keeping time BUT A SERVICE IS RECOMMENDED ON ALL MECHANICAL WATCHES SOLD AS SERVICE HISTORY IS UNKNOWN.

As you can see the watch looks great with only minor wear.  Some minor scratching to glass, bracelet and case but good for age.  The first link on the bracelet (at the 6 o'clock position does not have the gold rings as you can see).

Beautiful automatic Breitling Chronomat in good working order.  The condition is very good as you can see, this is a really fantastic watch.  I have been wearing myself for the last week and almost kept it!  High quality watch with high quality automaticmovement.

High quality Valjoux calibre 7750 automatic movement.

The signed dial with gilt baton hour markers.  Gilt hands.

The dial has three subsidiary dials and centre seconds as follows:
  • The dial at 12 o'clock accumulates the minutes. It can count up to 30 minutes.
  • The dial at 6 o'clock accumulates the hours, and can count up to 12 hours.
  • The center hand records the seconds, so is the most visible part of the chronograph's activity. Used in conjunction with the other two subdials above, one can time up to 12 hours with a 1/4th second accuracy.
  • The dial at 9 o'clock is the constant seconds and is not part of the chronograph function.
Housed within a circular stainless steel and 18ct gold case numbered 1-18704.

Case diameter is approximately 40mm.

The lug width is approximately 20mm.

The watch is fitted with the original stainless steel and 18ct gold rouleaux/bullet bracelet strap which are now out of production and are fast becoming collector's pieces.
