This is an extremely rare body repair manual from Thatchams printed in 1977. It is in an apparently unused condition. The only reason I have listed it as "used" is that the cover is slightly dirty due to storage. Inside it is perfect.

It is a genuine Motor Industry Repair Research Center (Thatcham) Guide to body repairs. It is produced for professional body repairs by the insurance industry and not available for general sale . There are a number of guides for different more recent models that are issued as new models come out - some of which I have sold /will be listing on Ebay.

This covers  the 1977 Audi 100 LS sallon and in a supplement the Avant (and the other 100 models that shared the same body shell ) .  It contains all the detailed information necessary to make approved and safe body repairs.

It contains exploded diagrams of body panel assemblies and details of removal and reassembly (including factory weld positions and recommended repair joint weld positions). Where part panels are to be fitted it provides details of approved cut positions.

Technical data includes sections on general panel replacement methods (inc trim removal - which is not covered in later manuals) and paint refinishing. It also includes replacement time schedules useful for costing a repair even if you are not doing it yourself.

It consists of  166 A6 pages  in the main manual and a further 47 in the supplement and in detail covers:
