an estate 14K garnets and gold beads necklace.

The clasp is marked 14K . There are 5 separate strands of oblong faceted deep red garnet beads that meet at each end of the wide clasp. Each strand has 14 pairs of gold bead accent spacers, each of which has 5 gold beads strung in a circle. So, there are about 295 total garnets and 700 total tiny gold beads!! The necklace is about 18 inches plus, and hangs beautifully. The 7/8 inch wide clasp slides to close, and it holds securely. The necklace is in excellent condition, with no damage.

Please note: Whenever possible, we try to gently hand polish our silver pieces. This provides you with two important benefits. First, it is difficult to see damage through years of patina. Sellers who tell you that they will leave cleaning or polishing to you are either afraid of uncovering damage, or simply don't want to invest the time and effort necessary to clean and polish the pieces. It is difficult enough to purchase items that you cannot first hold in your hand. We believe that this should not be compounded by having you peer at items through 100-200 years of grime. Secondly, YOU do not have to polish the item when you receive it! If we inadvertently miss a defect of any significance, please let us know right away so we can make it right.
