Each strand has 14 pairs of gold bead accent spacers, each of which has 5 gold beads strung in a circle. So, there are about 295 total garnets and 700 total tiny gold beads!! The necklace is about 18 inches plus, and hangs beautifully. The 7/8 inch wide clasp slides to close, and it holds securely. The necklace is in excellent condition, with no damage.
