WE NEED YOU TO BE OUR PARADE MARSHALL!

Experience the small town flavor first hand and up close as you ride down our Main Street , at the head of the Parade in a 1974 Candy Apple Red Cadillac Eldorado convertible, to kick off our County Fair.

We are DESHLER, NEBRASKA - population 892 – located in the heart of the corn belt and home to Reinke Manufacturing – makers of Reinke Center Pivot Irrigation systems – and great hardworking folks.

Our Parade is the kick off event of the annual Thayer County Fair held AUGUST 4-6^th.  

The PARADE will start at 6:00 PM on THURSDAY, AUG 4^th in Deshler, Nebraska.

The Parade Route is approximately 6 blocks long with two announcer stands. 

What you will receive for your winning bid:

1 - You will be recognized as the DESHLER AREA CHAMBER’S HONORARY PARADE MARSHALL for 2011.

2 - You will get to ride down the Parade Route (4^th Street) in in a 1974 Candy Apple Red Cadillac Eldorado convertible Driven by Merlyn Pohlmann – our own hometown insurance agent.

3 - An article with your photo will be submitted to our local Newspaper – THE DESHLER RUSTLER.

4 – You will receive a complimentary Meal from the 4H Food stand including HOME-MADE PIE.

5 – You will be given FREE ADMISSION to the FAIR, and the GRANDSTAND EVENT – T-Marv & Hammer Down (Not just another country band).

6 – You will get to meet some Great Hardworking Midwestern Folks (and maybe even a few not so hardworking).

PROCEEDS – All Proceeds from this Auction go to support the DESHLER AREA CHAMBER’S SCHOLARSHIP – which is awarded every year to a Graduating Area Student.

You will need to provide your own transportation to Deshler Nebraska.  

Yes - this is a legitimate offer to be the PARADE MARSHALL at our Thayer County Fair on AUGUST 4th, 2011.  We ran this by the Fair board,  the Lions Club - which Sponsors the Parade - and presented it before our Area Chamber of Commerce to bring you this unique opportunity.  Whether you win the auction to be our Parade Marshall or not - we, the Family and Friends who form the Community of Deshler, Nebraska - want to invite you to come and experience the great home town atmosphere and Patriotism that grows best here in the Midwest.
